there’s so much to say 

that I seem not to say 

something deep inside 

is keeping me away

they think they’re aware 

of what I let them believe 

they’re not even close 

to the person I’ve become 

I live in a place 

where I’m the only one 

if I let them in

I know it’s going to hurt 

so I stay away 

minding my own business 

maybe one day I’ll leave

but today is not that day
